Job Description Job Description Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Service Technician to join our propane business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and servicing of propane systems and equipment for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. This role requires a strong understanding of propane systems, excellent troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. The Service Technician will ensure that all work is performed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Maintenance: Install and maintain propane tanks, regulators, lines, and other related equipment. Perform routine maintenance on propane systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Conduct safety checks and inspections of propane equipment and systems to prevent potential hazards. Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve issues with propane systems, including gas leaks, faulty regulators, and malfunctioning valves. Provide on-site troubleshooting for both residential and commercial customers. Replace defective or outdated equipment as necessary. Customer Service: Communicate effectively with customers, explaining service needs and solutions in a clear, professional manner. Offer recommendations to improve system efficiency and safety. Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and efficient manner. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate service records and logs for all completed jobs, including parts used and time spent. Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations, including local, state, and federal codes. Ensure timely completion of required inspections and reporting. Safety & Training: Always adhere to company and industry safety guidelines. Participate in ongoing training to stay up to date with new technologies and propane industry best practices. Requirements: Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Certifications in HVAC, plumbing, or related fields preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in service, repair, or installation of propane systems or similar gas systems. Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial settings preferred. Skills & Abilities: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with propane tank systems, equipment, and safety codes. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and kneeling.
