Responsibilities include:
The Event Sales Team is responsible for engaging with clients in
order to promote and sell the hotels newly refurbished meeting
rooms, event spaces, guest bedrooms, suites and Food & Beverage
outlets. Exceeding guest expectations is paramount and we aim to
create bespoke and energizing guest experiences that are
sophisticated and elegant.
As Social Event Sales Manager you will support clients/guests with
arranging a variety of events such as Weddings, Christmas parties
and family celebrations. You will create connections and understand
their needs so to deliver memorable occasions and WOW moments.
Key elements of the role include -
--- Creating memorable, well-executed and sophisticated events for
a wide range of clientele by planning and organizing with clients
with an aim of creating repeat guests
--- Exceeding financial quotas and customer service criteria as
well as revenue targets
--- Set clear strategies to enhance account performance and achieve
annual budgeted goals
--- Ensuring all clients/guests are responded to promptly and
efficiently
--- Handle the Social Event enquiries from assigned segments at
times quoting hotel rate information, planning of all details in
conjunction with the event and liaising with 3rd party suppliers
where required
--- Communicate effectively with the operational departments to
ensure a seamless experience for the client/guest
--- Conduct site inspections and meet with clients to discuss their
requirements (entertaining of clients may be required in the
evenings and weekends)
Candidate must possess strategic visionary leadership skills to
drive short- and long-term management of Event Sales and Event
Planning. Be able to develop and maintain good relationships with
Corporate Sales Events and Marketing teams. Perform as the driver
of all sales revenue and ensure quarterly and annual revenue goals
are achieved for the hotel. Will promptly reply to incoming leads,
actively and aggressively solicit new catering customers and
identify key sales targets in all sectors. Evaluate each piece of
event business to ensure business can be properly serviced and fit
the strategic business needs of the property.
--- Primary sales efforts are in Catering, Beverage, and Meeting
Room Rental. Must be able to communicate the services of the hotel
to gain commitment from the customer. This position will provide
best in class customer service to retain clients and encourage
client referrals.
--- Administering the Sales agreement, detailing all food, beverage
and A/V needs, billing instructions and final review.
--- Develop sales action plans and forecast and evaluate trends to
modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
--- Evaluate each piece of event business to ensure business can be
properly serviced and fit the strategic business needs of the
property.
--- Develop and maintain departmental budget by implementing
effective marketing plans to generate catering revenues.
--- Sales and Events Managers are also are the on-site contacts and
are responsible for the smooth execution of all events. Other
essential duties include booking, selling, planning and
coordinating all catering events, ensuring sales system
documentation both internal and external are current.
--- Menu planning and agenda setting.
--- Detailing all Food, Beverage and A/V needs
--- Managing billing instructions and final review.
