As the PCU Registered Nurse (RN), you will assess assigned
patients, plan and implement comprehensive nursing care for
patients, document care plans, and evaluate patient outcomes in an
appropriate and timely manner. * You will complete an admission
interview within 24 hours of patient admission, including
documentation of patient educational needs and discharge planning *
You will identify changes in patient condition and report findings
to the physician and/or Nursing Unit Supervisor * You will identify
and prioritize relevant nursing diagnoses and provide
individualized nursing interventions * You will administer and
document medications * You will evaluate the plan of care to
determine if modifications need to be made * You will document the
resolution of patient problems identified in the plan of care * You
will evaluate the effectiveness of patient teaching and revise the
teaching plan as needed Job Requirements Experience * 1 year of
clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) Education *
Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Licenses and Certifications *
Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact
Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must
be obtained within 90 days of hire * Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification per St. David's Healthcare policy * Advanced
Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) OR Advanced Life Support (ALS)
certification - Required within 90 days of hire * National
Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification - Required
within 90 days of hire St. David's Medical Center is a full-service

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), and the
