Apply Today!Job Summary and Qualifications As the Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting nursing care for assigned patients. You will assess patients upon admission to the emergency center, and provide comprehensive nursing care for patients. You will assess patients to determine complaint and severity of illnessYou will perform and document patient assessmentsYou will appraise and document patient and family educational and psychosocial needs and make appropriate referralsYou will report changes in patient condition to supervisor and physicianYou will administer and document medicationsYou will report patient needs to appropriate hospital personnelYou will provide comprehensive inter-shift reports Experience 1 year of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)Experience as a Patient Care Technician in an acute care setting OR capstone rotation in St. David's Healthcare facilities - preferred Education Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN)Current enrollment in Alternate Entry Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) program Licenses and Certifications Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License.
