Description We have an exciting opportunity for a PRN Lactation Nurse to join St. David's Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, the nation's leading healthcare services provider. Job Summary and Qualifications The PRN Lactation Nurse will champion and serve as an expert consultant for the facility's Breastfeeding Program, facilitating breastfeeding initiation and continuation through education and assistance. Responsibilities include providing breastfeeding education to new mothers, managing patients with complex breastfeeding problems, delivering lactation discharge teaching, and participating in creating policies and procedures within the scope of breastfeeding. Experience:

• 1 year experience in Adult education
• 2 years teaching experience as a certified instructor in childbirth education - preferred Education:
  • High school education or equivalent
  • Graduate from an accredited school or professional nursing - preferred
  • Instructors with Bachelor's degree - preferred Licenses and Certifications:
    • Certified by a national childbirth education credentialing (Lamaze or ICEA) organization within 18 months of hire
