Details:General NotesThis position requires an on-site presence
daily and is not eligible for flexible work arrangements. May
occasionally be requested to work additional hours or weekends as
needed to complete time-sensitive projects or facilitate events and
programs.PurposeThe Facilities Operations Associate reports to the
Administrative Services Officer in the College of Pharmacy Business
Office to provide administrative, maintenance, and facilities
support to staff, faculty, and students in the
college.Responsibilities
- Receive, sort, and deliver daily mail to college faculty and
staff. Receive, inspect, and deliver packages. Scan receiving
reports into Box. Create receiving reports as necessary for Hazmat
and other items not delivered to Central Receiving. Follow-up on
outstanding purchase orders to ensure that items have been
received.
- Assist with the maintenance of the college equipment inventory,
including tagging of new controlled items, initiating transfers to
surplus (CCARTS), and other related inventory and equipment
management needs. Log and maintain compressed gas inventory for the
college.
- Assist with the moving and storage of surplus items. Assist
with moving furniture for staff and faculty, and college-wide
events as requested.
- Run on- and off-campus errands as needed by the Dean's Office.
Maintain storage area in PHR 2.112. Maintain stock of paper,
envelopes, and other supplies for the Dean's Office.
- Oversee the maintenance of the College's vehicles and the
weekly vehicle use logs.
- Hire, train, and supervise student workers.
- Provide backup support for other Business Office staff as
requested. (5%)
- Additional duties as assigned.Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED and at least 5 years of clerical
experience; or a bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of clerical
experience.
- Working ability to make decisions, communicate effectively,
take initiative, solve problems, provide excellent service, and
execute tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.Preferred
Qualifications
- Knowledge of campus mail, central receiving, and equipment
inventory processes.
- Experience with basic maintenance of vehicles, compressed gas,
and other commonly used teaching and research equipment.
- Ability to move furniture in a safe and timely manner.Relevant
education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.Driving
RequiredThis job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license.
If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be
obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.Salary
Range$40,000+ depending on qualificationsWorking Conditions
