Pay Information $1,492 per week About The Position Job Title: RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Current RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: Med-Surg experience Description: This is a contract position for an RN in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. Candidates with experience in rehab are preferred. The unit has 12 private rooms and a staff of 16 nurses and 6 patient care technicians. Patient ratios are approximately 5-6 patients per nurse. The equipment used includes walkers, wheelchairs, transfer devices, and Med-Surg equipment such as blood pressure machines, bladder scanners, vein finders, IV pumps, and tube feed pumps. The electronic medical record system is Meditech. No major procedures are performed at the bedside. Typical tasks include Foley catheter insertion, PICC line placement by a vascular team, NGT or Dobhoff insertion, and non-complex wound care. The ideal candidate should be a team player who demonstrates integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence. Candidates should be able to remain calm in stressful situations and accept constructive feedback. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Staff must be present for morning and evening unit huddles and take a 30-minute lunch break. The unit has achieved high patient satisfaction ratings and performance metrics.
