Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse
(RN) for our state-of-the-art Interventional Catheterization Lab at
our faith-based healthcare facility. In this critical role, you
will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to
deliver high-quality, compassionate care in line with our mission
to innovate and transform healthcare. This position offers a unique
opportunity to work in a cutting-edge environment that focuses on
enhancing patient outcomes through specialized cardiovascular
procedures. Administer care for heart disease and heart attack
patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols. Monitor
patient status and response during and after procedures, making
timely decisions on appropriate care interventions. Prepare
patients for catheterization, angioplasty, pacemaker implantation
and other cardiovascular procedures. Operate and understand the
functions of specialized equipment used in the cath lab.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals
to plan, evaluate, and improve treatment protocols and patient
care. Provide education and support to patients and their families
regarding cardiovascular procedures and recovery expectations.
Maintain detailed records of patient care and procedure specifics
in compliance with hospital standards. Strong clinical skills in
cardiology and patient care management. Proficiency in operating
interventional cath lab equipment, including imaging and monitoring
devices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to
interact effectively with patients and colleagues. Critical
thinking and problem-solving abilities, particularly in
high-pressure environments. Ability to adhere to safety guidelines
and a strong attention to detail. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered
Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of employment. Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life
Support (ACLS) certification preferred. Certification in
cardiovascular nursing (CVRN) is a plus.
