Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in
San Marcos, Texas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:
Telemetry PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start
Date: 01/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift:
12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel - Weekend requirement:
Every other weekend - No call requirement, only on call with low
census which would be limited to once every 2 weeks per contract
Job Requirements: Education/Skills 1. Bachelor of Science Degree in
Nursing, preferred Experience 1. 1 year of experience in the
related nursing specialty preferred Licenses, Registrations, or
Certifications 1. BLS required (AHA only) 2. RN License in state of
TX or compact Position Requirements: Education/Skills 1. All newly
hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the
first 30 days of hire. 2. New hires are precepted by a designated
trained staff member and initial on-boarding requirements are
validated through successful completion of the designated
organizational entry competency validation and a MedSurg specific
competency validation. 3. All newly licensed RNs may participate in
a residency program or other specific orientation. Skills
completion and competency completion will be achieved with the
preceptor at the bedside and documented through the program’s
tracking software. 4. Completion of all annual competency
verification requirements. Experience 1. One year of experience in
a related nursing specialty preferred. Licenses, Registrations, or
Certifications 1. Current ACLS certification required (AHA only)
