Nephrologist Opportunity – Hybrid Outpatient/Inpatient Practice
University Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible
Nephrologist to join our expanding program in beautiful San
Antonio, Texas. As one of the most respected public health systems
in the country, this role offers a balanced 4 week 1 week hybrid
schedule between outpatient and inpatient care in a supportive,
patient-focused environment. This is a full-time position focused
on clinical excellence with optional involvement in resident/fellow
and medical student education. It is a perfect blend of academic
and private practice settings. Position Highlights: Outpatient
Practice (Monday–Friday) 80% clinic and 20% dialysis (both home and
in-center) Well-established patient base with strong support staff
Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology APPs
Inpatient Service (Monday–Friday) Daily rounding on nephrology
patients Supervision and collaboration with experienced nephrology
APPs Night and weekend Call 1 in 5 Administrative Time Provided
Dedicated time for documentation, patient messages, and care
coordination Additional Opportunities: Engage in clinical
trials/research and contribute to advancing nephrology research
