Encompass Health Corporation is seeking dedicated and compassionate Vocational Nurses to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is pivotal in providing top-notch patient care and support under the supervision of registered nurses and doctors. Our Vocational Nurses play a crucial role in the recovery and well-being of our patients, making a significant impact on their overall healing process. Administering medications and treatments timely and according to policy Responding to and referring inbound telephone calls or inquiries from patients to ensure appropriate medical documentation Monitoring patient health and documenting nursing care in patient records Assisting physicians and registered nurses with tests and procedures Educating patients and their families on health care, including post-treatment home care needs Preparing rooms, sterilizing instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures Strong interpersonal and communication skills Proficiency in administering medication and understanding of health care administrative systems Excellent observational skills and attention to detail Ability to handle stressful situations and multitask effectively Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license valid in the state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
