Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team of rehabilitation experts. Our PTAs play a crucial role in assisting patients in regaining mobility and independence through dedicated healthcare in a variety of settings, including inpatient rehabilitation hospitals and home health services. The successful candidate will work closely under the supervision of our physical therapists to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services, adhering to personalized treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each patient. Implements patient's individualized treatment plan as established by the primary Physical Therapist. Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions to patients under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. Documents patient's response to treatment and reports on patient progress to the supervising therapist. Educates patients and their families on exercises and in-home therapy options. Assists Physical Therapist during patient testing, evaluations, and complex procedures. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with facility and department procedure rules and regulations. Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements. Knowledge of physical therapy principles, standards, and applications. Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction. Strong observational and analytical skills. Ability to manage time effectively and handle a variety of tasks simultaneously. Physical ability to assist and transport patients. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Physical Therapist Assistant state license. BLS/CPR certification.
