knowledge and expertise! Job Summary and Qualifications The
Maternal Transport Registered Nurse is a Registered Nurse who
champions and serves as an expert consultant for the facility’s
Maternal Transport team. The primary focus of this role is the
identification, assessment, stabilization and transport of the high
risk mother. Additionally this RN Specialist will train and
collaborate with the maternal nursing staff in order to provide
consistent and accurate information to new mothers. We are an

meaningful as we do. You will provide comprehensive nursing care of
the obstetrical patient in the transport environment using
transport protocols. You will assist in identifying changes in the
patient condition and intervenes promptly and appropriately
according to Transport and L&D, P&P, protocols, and order
sets to on call MFM when on transport. You will participate in the
transport of high risk maternal patients You will be responsible
for maintaining current and in-depth knowledge of perinatal
standards of practice What qualifications you will need: Education
and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursingrequired 2years of
nursing experience in ahigh riskLabor and Delivery setting-required
5years ofnursingexperiencein ahigh riskLabor and Delivery setting –
preferred Experience as a maternal transport nurse - preferred
Licenses and Certifications: Current Registered Nurse license in
the state of Texas of compact state license –required– If compact
License Texas license must be obtained within90 daysof hire Current
BCLS certificationrequired Current NRP certificationrequiredwithin
6 months of hire date Instructor for BLS, NRP, STABLE and/or PALS –
preferred Instructor for CPR, NRP, and ACLS – preferred Other
required physical requirements: Mustmaintaindutyweight of less than
or equal to 220 pounds. (Body weight plus uniform and boots) St.
