qualifications will not be considered. A nursing opportunity is
available for a Registered Nurse (RN) with Neonatal Intensive Care
Unit (NICU) expertise in a dynamic pediatric care setting located
in Schertz, TX. This contract position supports a Level 4 NICU
within a specialized pediatric hospital environment that includes
Pediatric Emergency Department, PICU, Pediatric Surgery, and
Pediatric Oncology/BMT units. The NICU unit is notably large with
92 beds and a multidisciplinary team of 6-12 staff per shift.
Location Overview : The position is based near San Antonio, TX, in
a well-established hospital complex offering state-of-the-art
respiratory therapy support and an advanced medical equipment array
designed for complex pediatric and neonatal intensive care.
Responsibilities : Deliver high-quality nursing care within a Level
3/Level 4 NICU setting. Perform respiratory therapies including
BiPAP, HFNC, nebulizer therapy, airway clearance, and ventilator
management. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to
manage patient care needs and maintain prescribed patient ratios.
Document care accurately using EMR systems with attention to
unit-specific protocols. Qualifications & Desired Experience :
Minimum 6 months to 1 year experience in PICU or Level 3/Level 4
NICU. Required certifications: Texas RCP license (CRT or RRT), BLS,
ACLS, NRP, and PALS. Experience with advanced respiratory devices,
such as Servo U ventilator with NAVA, Avea Ventilator, V60
noninvasive, and other NICU equipment. Strong team-player attitude,
flexibility, and ability to work collaboratively. Schedule &
Requirements : Contract role with expectation of approximately 4
weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. On-call availability as needed.
Dress Code : Olive/sage scrub tops and black scrub bottoms
preferred; all-black attire acceptable. This contract role offers
