Job Description:
HCA Healthcare invites dedicated and compassionate nursing
professionals to join our team as a Registered Nurse in our Mother
Baby unit. In this vital role, you will be an integral part of our
patient care team, specializing in the postpartum phase, ensuring
both mother and newborn receive the highest standard of care. Our
Mother Baby nurses play a critical role in supporting new mothers
through the recovery from childbirth and assisting with newborn
care. Monitor and assess both maternal and newborn health during
the postpartum period. Educate and support mothers on newborn care,
lactation, and recovery. Administer medications as prescribed and
monitor for side-effects. Coordinate with obstetricians,
pediatricians, and other medical staff to ensure comprehensive
patient care. Document patient care services by charting in patient
and department records. Promote and practice infection-control
protocols to safeguard health of mothers and babies. Strong
interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in electronic
health record systems. Experience in patient education and
emotional support. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse license in
the state of employment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
