Responsibilities Our San Antonio pediatric hospitalist group is searching for a dedicated pediatric hospitalist to join our busy practice providing coverage at Methodist Children's Hospital. - Average of 10-15 pediatric patients daily on hospital medicine shifts - Work alongside experienced nurse practitioners for newborn nursery coverage, delivery attendance not required - Mixture of day and night shifts - Night coverage is in-house from 6PM to midnight, with home call from midnight to 6 AM - Typically work shift blocks of 3-5 days, though this can be flexible if longer stretches are preferred - Care for patients admitted to the medical/surgical floors and intermediate care unit - Hospital has PICU and NICU on site San Antonio: Known as a big city with the feel of a small town, San Antonio is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States.
