How you’ll make an impact in this role Deliver professional nursing care in the operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or other invasive procedures. Intra-operative Support: Expertly manage the selection and handling of surgical instruments and sterile supplies to ensure a seamless procedure. Comprehensive Patient Monitoring: Act as the Circulating Nurse by recording vitals, communicating patient status, and managing holistic care before, during, and after surgery. Direct Surgical Assistance: Collaborate closely with the surgeon by performing critical tasks such as wound exposure, suturing, and patient positioning. Operating Room Readiness: Oversee the complete preparation and sterilization of the surgical environment, instruments, and specialized equipment for every case. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. One or more of the following required: Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
