Job Description:
Job Description This position is a half-time position that will
work 176 days per year. Faculty in the Workforce Solutions Division
of Meridian Community College are integral representatives of the
institution. They are to be a strong advocate of their related
career field and passionate about transferring the knowledge and
experience they have gained to instruct, mentor, and prepare
Meridian Community College Students for the Workforce. 1. Attend
Nursing Division meetings. 2. Maintain expertise in area of
responsibility. 3. Obtain quotes, order supplies for simulation lab
use. 4. Assist in scheduling simulation activities for ADN and PN
programs. 5. Maintain equipment and supplies in sim lab. 6.
Managing computer systems and software for simulation laboratory
equipment to include (but not limited to) manikins, computers,
debriefing system, and medication dispensing systems. 7. Set up
simulations (to include preparing the room and equipment and any
needed adjustments with the program or EHR to run the simulation).
8. Break down rooms after simulation. 9. Run simulations (to
include operating the computer, controlling manikin features,
speaking for the patient). 10. Assist faculty with simulation
activities. 11. Stock Med Dispense as needed to correspond to
simulation needs. 12. Work with faculty and IT department to ensure
software updates for all systems. 13. Maintain functionality of
simulation laboratory equipment. 14. Assist in scheduling
interprofessional activities in the simulation laboratory. Required
Qualifications Minimum of a certificate as an LPN , Paramedic, or
an associate’s degree in healthcare or other field. Preferred
Qualifications Health care experience or previous simulation
experience preferred.
