Job Description Job Description About the Position Clara’s Caring Home LLC is a small, family-style residential care home providing compassionate, high-quality care to elderly residents. Care is overseen by a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), ensuring residents receive safe, consistent, and dignified care in a calm home environment. We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Live-In Caregiver who is comfortable living on-site and becoming a consistent presence for our residents. This role requires professionalism, dependability, and a genuine heart for caregiving. Key Responsibilities - Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility - Provide overnight supervision and support - Assist with repositioning, transfers, and comfort for bed-bound residents - Prepare simple meals and assist with feeding as needed - Perform light housekeeping and laundry related to resident care - Observe and report any changes in resident condition to the supervising LVN - Maintain a clean, calm, and respectful home environment - Follow care plans, safety protocols, and infection control procedures Required Skills & Qualifications - Previous caregiving experience in a private home, assisted living, or similar setting - Compassionate, patient, and respectful bedside manner - Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions - High level of dependability and accountability - Ability to work independently while respecting supervision and house policies - Comfortable living on-site and maintaining professional boundaries - Ability to lift, turn, and assist residents safely - Willingness to complete background check and CPR/First Aid certification Preferred Skills - CNA certification or formal caregiving training - Experience caring for bed-bound or limited-mobility residents - Familiarity with dementia or cognitive decline - Experience in residential care homes or assisted living facilities - Basic documentation or charting experience Physical Requirements - Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents throughout the shift - Ability to respond promptly to resident needs, including overnight - Manual dexterity for personal care tasks What We Offer - Private live-in accommodations - Meals provided - Consistent schedule and stable work environment - Supportive leadership with LVN oversight - Respectful, low-drama workplace focused on quality care
