Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Kett Engineering is looking for
good, dependable and safe drivers to join our team at our customer
location in Elmendorf, TX. The position requires the drivers to
drive and evaluate advanced tractor/trailers and other commercial
vehicles for testing purposes. You will be conducting the pre &
post trip safety inspections as required of the vehicles. Once
completed you will be driving on "real world" durability local test
routes on various road surfaces throughout a 10 hour shift. NO
LOADING! NO UNLOADING! NO DELIVERIES! At the end of the shift you
will be completing a report and document findings during your shift
in a very clear and concise manner. Must be open and available to
going on short trips to transfer trucks to different locations in
the US. These trips are not frequent but are part of this job.
Trips may take 3-6 days depending on drop-off location. Hotel stay
and fuel paid by company. 2nd shift: 4:30pm - 2:30am Monday-Friday
(some Saturdays as needed) Requirements: Must have a valid CDL A
and DOT Card. A clean driving record; no moving violations, no
points, no DUIs/DWIs. Must be tech savvy (operate smartphone and/or
tablet). Must have a smartphone. Must have at least 3 years tractor
trailer experience. Must have at least 1 year of OTR experience.
Attention to detail with the ability to communicate findings both
verbally and in writing. Ability to travel periodically to perform
over the road testing and vehicle transfers. Ability to drive in
adverse extreme weather conditions, including harsh winter
conditions. Able to contribute in a team environment. Must be
willing to travel as needed. Must be flexible and available travel
as required . Must be able to pass the pre-employment drug and
background screens. Must be available and willing to fly to
different site locations in the US. Company Description Established
