best-in-class returns The Policy & Employee Relations Manager
supports the Senior Director of Teammate Relations and partners
with McLane Business Unit Leadership, Human Resource Managers, and
other leaders in the execution of a broad, well-balanced and
effective labor/teammate relations strategy. Work as a liaison
between teammates and management to resolve conflict and/or conduct
investigations with responsibility for oversight and management of
investigations that come into the Home Office via Open Door Policy,
and any other avenues (manager, Human Resources, teammates, etc.).
This position will require the candidate to report and work from
the office five days a week. Therefore, interested candidates
should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX. Benefits: Day

Functions / Principal Accountabilities: Oversee and manage
investigations, to include project management, and conduct
investigations for Open Doors, Ethics Hotline, or other contacts.
Train and assist Human Resource Managers and the Teammate Relations
HR Investigators in doing investigations, writing investigation
reports, and providing advice. Support labor/teammate relations
with research and analysis by performing research for markets,
changes in laws, NLRB decisions (seeking legal advice as needed),
monitoring daily/weekly labor articles, contract analysis, or other
related items. Proactively monitor labor risks by collecting,
analyzing and reporting on labor data (internal and external). Work
on complex labor/teammate relations projects and activities to
support, analyze, develop and/or improve individual engagement
tools utilized by McLane (team member surveys, Connectivity
Program, focus groups). Develop materials to support the
labor/teammate relations’ strategies by creating, maintaining, and
updating presentations and other materials for use proactively and
reactively. Produce labor/teammate relations reports and updates
for leadership. Provide labor/teammate relations, coaching, and
education to leadership, as required. Identify, source, and utilize
internal business partners and third-party vendor support for
specialized projects that require unique expertise or resources
that are not readily available. Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Skills and Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in
labor relations, Human Resources Management, or related field.
Three or more years labor/employee relations experience. Work
experience conducting investigations with exposure to best
practices. Certification a plus. Project management experience
preferred. Experience managing direct reports. Effective
communication and interpersonal relationship skills. Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to be
continually available to teammates and leadership to discuss
workplace issues. Ability to manage and maintain online resources.
Knowledge of current trends in labor relations. Ability to provide
effective teammate relations support to HR and Operations
personnel. Ability to identify labor/teammate relations best
practices that will improve workplace environments. Working
Conditions: Office and/or warehouse environment. Some travel
