We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures experience to join our team! This is a PRN position working 1-2 weekday shifts per week, or as needed. Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating all Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures during their assigned shift and ensures that CPRMC values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation. Located minutes from downtown Austin, Cedar Park Regional Medical Center is a level IV Designated Trauma Center with more than 600 healthcare professionals working together to provide inpatient, outpatient, surgical and emergency care for Cedar Park and the greater Austin region.Position OverviewWe are seeking a Registered Nurse with Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures experience to join our team! This is a PRN position working 1-2 weekday shifts per week, or as needed.Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Interventional Radiology / Special Procedures Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating all Interventional Radiology (IR) procedures during their assigned shift and ensures that CPRMC values are reflected in all aspects of the department's operation.ResponsibilitiesEvaluates assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing carePerforms various patient tests and administers medications as ordered by physicians, keeping within the scope of practice of the registered nurseAssists physicians during examination and procedures related to adult and pediatric radiology, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, Interventional Radiology (IR) and other special procedures casesPrepares required documentation and maintains appropriate internal records on patient carePromotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skillsMay direct, monitor and/or evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnelAssumes, under the direction of the Laboratory, responsibility for patient specimen testing, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenancePerforms a range of technical services in a cross-functional mode to comprehensively serve patient needsCommunicates effectively and collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and accurate delivery of patient careOther duties as assignedQualificationsMinimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing program required.
