For more information or to view other opportunities, visit position is eligible for quarterly pay rate increases.*Shift Details: Part Time (Saturday & Sunday) & Full Time (Monday - Friday) shifts available.Memory Care Programming Coordinator Primary Job Responsibilities:This position reports to the Director of Entertainment and ProgrammingUnder the direction of the Director of Entertainment and Programming, assists with planning, coordinating, and implementing activities and entertainment programs in Memory CareAssist with procuring groups, organizations, and individuals to perform for or instruct the Residents as part of the Memory Care Activity programProvide periodic resident services seminars providing an overview of programsConduct activities scheduled and provides support to those individuals performing or instructing the ResidentsAssist with coordination of environmental improvement in the community by interest area development and enhancement by continually adding and improving areas to stimulate resident interestsActivities may be scheduled seven days a week to include special events and some evening eventsAssist the Director of Entertainment and Programming in providing recreational, business and medical transportation to residentsAssist in completing vehicle safety and maintenance records on all vehicles drivenAssist residents with entering and exiting the vehicleAssist in maintaining transportation supplies including gas needed for activitiesFrequent transporting of residents in wheelchairsMust be able to communicate and function in an interdisciplinary teamMust be able to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hoursMust be able to lift 40 lbs. floor to waist, lift 10 lbs. waist to shoulder, lift and carry 40 lbs., and push/pull 40 lbs.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English languageMust be able to assist in the evacuation of residentsDrive residents to events as neededMemory Care Programming Coordinator Work Experience:A minimum of one years' experience in a similar positionMust have a valid driver's licenseMinimum of 1 year experience working directly with the elderly or individuals with disabilities and or MCIExperience planning and coordinating eventsMust be proficient in Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher, and the use of Internet resourcesDemonstrated organizational skillsThe ability to read, write and communicate with residentsOutstanding customer service skills with caring and compassionate behavior towards othersAbility to work flexible hours, including weekends and eveningsOther Requirements:The safety of our Residents and Team Members is our top priority.
