Job Description:
NOV in Cedar Park is looking for a Materials Coordinator to
assist schedulers in moving parts in order to meet manufacturing
build plan. This is a non-exempt position and is eligible for
overtime pay when pre-approved by Management. Variable day/early
evening shift hours.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure parts are moved through work centers with emphasis on
working to a list of targeted items by schedulers
- Verify paperwork and part location in Work in Progress
(WIP)
- Interface with warehouse on the job shortages
- Perform other work-related task as assigned
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies
Facility Responsibilities:
- Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred
between locations, physical inventories, and cycle counts
- Print, Pull, and Issue work orders with crib operator
- Manage stocking locations and perform cycle counting.
- Receive Stock and Non-Stock PO's with crib operator.
- Create tool kits and print work orders for the machine shop
production with crib operator.
- Manage inventory of tool crib doing cycle counts, issuing
tooling out to production personnel, and checking in tooling
returned from production personnel with crib operator
- Create and manage stocking levels and ensure Cribmaster
inventory levels are complete and accurate with crib operator,
- Perform all MRO purchasing functions for tool crib,
- Record data as required for all receipts and shipments
- Maintain a clean orderly, and safe work environment
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school education, required
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in shipping/receiving
and inventory control.
- Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions
and use simple math.
- Able to work in the US
- Ability to perform but not limited to the following tasks, be
familiar with and able to interpret packing slips, enter into the
computer the correct information, to acknowledge receipt of the
goods into the purchase order and processing database.
- Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to
convey specific packaging requirements.
- Solid knowledge of inventory control and inventory
practices.
- Extremely detail oriented with numbers and data entry.
- Skilled at learning new computer systems & ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an organized
fashion.
- Ability to diplomatically and professionally interface with
employees and vendors
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand, sit, bend, and reach particularly for
sustained periods of time
- Able to operate a computer and other office machinery using
finger dexterity for typing and writing
- Must be able to communicate, converse with, and exchange
information by means of the spoken and written word
- Must be able to lift 25lbs to shoulder height
- Able to perform light physical effort to lift or move materials
up to 40 pounds
- Visual acuity to view a computer screen
Working Conditions
- Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing
environment.
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to
include but not limited to; eye safety glasses, hearing protectors,
work boots, and hardhats.
- Available to work overtime as required
- Works under immediate supervision
- Typically reports to a supervisor/manager
