POSITION SUMMARYWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Traffic Signals Installer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems, ensuring the safe and efficient flow of traffic in various settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, traffic signal operations, and safety protocols.
YOUR ROLE Traffic Signal Installer is responsible for the installation and maintenance of electronic traffic control devices. Work involves assembling, installing, servicing, testing, repairing, and adjusting electrical and mechanical components of traffic signals and related equipment. Other duties include but not limited to Assembling and Installing Traffic Signal Poles and overhead traffic signals, Overhead Signs, pedestrian features, and other related Signal components. Understanding oral and written instructions that may be accompanied by detailed plans. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical and electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components. Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with codes.
WHAT YOU BRING Proven experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of traffic signal systems or related electrical systems. Strong understanding of electrical principles and wiring diagrams, with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues. Physical strength and stamina to tackle the demands of the job. A sharp eye for detail, ensuring the quality of every project is unmatched. The ability to work across diverse locations and shifting schedules. Your adaptability is paramount, especially when weekend or overtime beckons. Stellar communication skills, a keen sense of urgency, and a collaborative spirit that underlines our team ethos. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAs a Traffic Signals Installer, physical capabilities are paramount. You must be able to lift and handle heavy equipment, climb ladders to access signal installations, and work comfortably outdoors in various weather conditions. Manual dexterity is crucial for handling tools and components, while standing, walking, and bending are essential for navigating job sites and performing tasks. Additionally, good vision, hearing, and spatial awareness are necessary for safety and effective communication.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTSMust be willing to travel within the State of Texas as needed, overnight or out of town stay may be required.
