Overall Scope The Senior Quality Engineer is responsible for
ensuring products meet all quality standards while proactively
driving initiatives to reduce waste and optimize processes. This
role serves as a "change agent," shifting manufacturing from
reactive inspection to preventive quality assurance through
continuous improvement methodologies, utilizing data-driven
methodologies to solve complex quality issues and foster a culture
of excellence. Key Responsibilities • Manufacturing Quality &
Support: Monitor in-process quality on the assembly line; lead
Gemba walks to identify quality risks and partner with
manufacturing engineering to implement error-proofing (Poka-Yoke).
• Continuous Improvement (CI): Drive Lean Six Sigma projects to
reduce waste and improve yield; facilitate Kaizen events to
optimize production flow for dispenser units. • Advanced Root Cause
Analysis: Lead investigations into production defects using 8D,
5-Why, and Fishbone analysis to implement permanent corrective
actions (CAPA). • Supplier & New Product Quality: Collaborate with
Supplier Quality to resolve material issues; collaborate on PPAP
and FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) for New Product
Introductions (NPI). • Data Analytics: Utilize Statistical Process
Control (SPC) and BI tools to analyze trends in Cost of Poor
Quality (CoPQ) and customer complaints. • Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001, S-A-01, industry regulations, and internal QMS
requirements. • Have experience in internal and external quality
audits, support certification, regulatory inspections and
Management Reviews. • Maintain documentation (control plans,
inspection plans, FMEAs, PPAPs, SPC, CAPA, NCRs, etc.). • Support
MRB (Material Review Board) activities and disposition decisions. •
Act as SME (Subject Matter Expert) on quality standards,
measurement systems, and risk management. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field. 5
years of experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing
environment. Strong data analysis skills; proficiency in AI and BI
tools Experience with data systems (Intelex, Oracle, or similar).
Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication
skills. Preferred Qualifications ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
(CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt. Experience in dispenser,
automotive, or industrial equipment manufacturing. Familiarity with
Measurement Canada and other regulatory compliance. Key Success
Metrics RTY improvement and sustainability across production lines.
Timely closure of NCRs and support MRB actions as needed, and cycle
times improvement. Reduction in customer complaints and field
failures, better customer satisfaction. Effective support of NPI
through lessons learned and risk mitigation. Positive audit results
and compliance to ISO/regulatory standards. Closure of internal
audits and CARs on a timely manner. Reduction in Cost of Poor
Quality (COPQ). Note: This is not an all inclusive list, and can
